last year bret said we would not get into the tournament.
this year he predicts a skunk.  isn’t that called bi-polar?

I told Bret and Shawn single digits repeatedly,
and I told them over and over that it would be close.
However, like a typical early season fan, influenced by
blow outs with Division 2 teams, they forgot that we are not
a team yet.  That takes time, guys.  Please don’t do that to me again.
Listen to me next time, and don’t take things for granted.
When I get nervous, so should you.

my nervousness was justified. bret and shawns over confidence was not. the game ended as a mirror image. memphis was almost able to send it into overtime like the championship, but unable to convert. it was a mirror image of chalmers shot, which we did convert. that is why I said too many connections. I foresaw a mirror image and a return to that final shot in reverse. it made me nervous. my nervousness was justified.

Too many connections.
Too much karma.
I have butterflies.
I am a weakling.
I am scared.

vampires are the in thing

I am reading Dracula right now,
and last night, vampires were trying to break
into 1221.     I braced the
door to the garage, but we forgot to latch
the sliding door.  I was yelling at father
to get me a stick to lodge in the sliding door,
but it was too late, so I used the stick
to stab a vampire in the heart instead,
sending blood all over the dining room.
I know it sounds funny now,
but I was truly scared.

I asked for water and she gave me gasoline

predict that Allen Field House will catch on fire tonight
There are only three problems.
1.   We have a target on our back that says ONE.
2.   We have too much talent.
3.   We don’t want to peak too early.
We are so spoiled that those are actually problems!

Re: Mark your calendar- I have!! ;) 10/26/2028

Mark your calendar for last Friday, Kevin.
The third closest known non-impacting asteroid in documented history
almost hit us on Friday.
Get this.
It was only discovered headed this way 15 hours before the close encounter.
It was 30 times closer than the Moon.
It barely missed us.  Of course,
depending on the size, those things can burn up.
If you listen to Coast to Coast, you would have
already marked your calendar.

many categories

there are a number of categories of swine flu victims.
first and foremost they think kids get it easily because they do not have the immunity as older folks do.
however, the reaction of kids varies by their immune systems.
kids with over active immune systems from neuro disorders such as autism
can have all sort of problems.
the vast majority of deaths are in kids with over active immune systems
from neuro disorders, period, like over 95 percent.
this is not to be confused with kids who have a strong or healthy immune system.
in a normal kid or adult that is what you want, a strong immune system.
for example, kevin took vitamins and ate shittake mushrooms and other
immune building foods.
Kevin may have gotten the virus but fought it off.
a strong immune system is good.
you can’t get an over active immune system from vitamin C or shittake mushrooms.
you only get a strong immune system.
there is a difference.
kid’s with autism have crazy immune systems, period.
poor Trey had the vulnerability to the virus from his age,
and a vulnerability to the disease from his asthma.
so, what about old people and the virus?
ironically, old people have more immunity from the virus than kids, but once
they get it, they are at high risk of complications.
that is due to a variety of problems already associated with old age,
such as breathing problems and high blood pressure.
all of these categories and sub categories are confusing to many, and I
don’t blame them.
as with all flus, some people who are at low risk from the virus
and the disease have complications
and die anyway!
at this point, we still don’t know for sure what will happen next.
heck, I just saw a box of cocoa puffs which said that cocoa puffs
builds kids’ immune systems.
by the way, while all this is going on, I just scheduled my shingles vaccine.
not only did father get shingles and suffer, but I have had friends my age get it.
I had to wait until I turned 60 to get it.
it is not 100 percent effective, but man oh man,
after seeing Pop suffer so badly, and
after my horrible bout with chicken pox as a kid,
I want it!

Since everyone I know has a data connection at home,
I just got wifi for my laptop and I can listen to Washburn
and Emporia, plus all post game shows.
Portland and Salem have towers that send data service
anywhere in the area.  It is called Clear.
If I leave the area, it picks up Sprint.
I will be live on Thursday from home with my new wireless lapop.
